What is TOEIC?

TOEIC stands for Test of English for International Communication and is designed to assess the English level of people who work internationally. This test currently serves more than 160 countries, and over 14,000 organizations make hiring and promotion decisions based on TOEIC scores.

The TOEIC is broken down into two tests:

The most commonly requested score is a score of 700, with a perfect score being 990.

Our TOEIC program is a 12-week intensive course (20 hours per week) that gives students an overview of the test along with ample opportunities to practice test-taking strategies for both tests: the Listening and Reading Test, and the Speaking and Writing Test. As the Listening and Reading Test is the more popular of the two, we will spend 8 weeks focusing on that test and an additional 4 weeks focusing on the Speaking and Writing Test.

Students will need to either complete Level 5 of our ESL program or prove sufficient English skill by taking our placement test and scoring at or above the score our Level 5 students are expected to achieve by the end of the program. At the end of the 12-week TOEIC class, students will be prepared to take the TOEIC Listening and Reading Test and/or the TOEIC Speaking and Writing Test. This course may be repeated.
