The students who attend our English Language School take their studies very seriously. Their goal, and ours as well, is for them to improve their English as much as possible while in the U.S. They work hard to keep improving their English, although learning a new language is challenging and can be overwhelming at times. A big part of our ESL program is to not only learn English but experience it. We encourage all of our students to go out and have some new adventures while studying in California. Here are some fun things to try while you are studying in the U.S.
● Disneyland
A well-known place to visit that everyone has to go to once is Disneyland. This theme park is full of attractions, food, shopping, shows, and fireworks. Disneyland is known as the "Happiest Place on Earth," so you know this is one experience you will not want to miss.
● Universal Studios
Another popular theme park is Universal Studios. This theme park is great for movie or film lovers, as there is a studio tour that takes you behind the scenes of a real movie studio. There are also plenty of thrilling roller coasters if you are looking for an adrenaline rush.
● Go to the beach
California’s beaches are a popular destination. When it’s hot, it’s nice to soak up the sun and tan, eat some lunch, or go for a swim. The beach is also great for playing beach volleyball, frisbee, or just hang out with friends.
● Joshua Tree
This national park is not just beautiful but has plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy. You can go hiking, rock climbing, camping, biking, or horseback riding.
● Griffith Observatory
Observe the sky at the Griffith Observatory! Check out their exhibits, park, and famous planetarium. They are even having virtual programs for the time being. There are also special events throughout the year, so be sure to check their website to plan your visit.
● Take a gondola ride
The gondola takes you through the canals of Naples Island in Long Beach. It replicates traditional gondola rides in Italy. You and your guests can eat, drink, and take a photo to remember the unique experience.
