AELS Attendance Policy

AELS Attendance Policy

American English Language School looks for students that are dedicated and motivated to learn English. One of the ways a student shows this is through attendance. Our program requires that every student participates in 20 hours of class a week. Any student who falls below 80% attendance rate will receive a warning.

Students who hold an F-1 visa are required to maintain full-time status, which is defined as attending class 18 hours a week. If students who hold an F-1 visa fall below the 80% attendance rate, they have the chance of getting their visa revoked. For these reasons, AELS actively promotes that students attend a class every day. This will ensure that each student is getting a remarkable education and learning everything they possibly can.

Education is key to your success. Without attending the class, the amount you learn will decline, and your possibilities in life won’t be as broad. So in the end, attendance is key to your education and success.
