3 Places to Go in Los Angeles

American English Language School students are on break from their winter quarter! A lot of our students enjoy sightseeing and touring around the Los Angeles area during their time off of school! Here is a list of great places to visit in Los Angeles!

1.    Grand Central Market

Located in the busy and bustling area of Downtown Los Angeles is the popular Grand Central Market. This market is an enclosed market with many wonderful restaurants and shops that provide a wonderful taste of the multiple cultures filling the city of L.A.

The market stalls are always changing hands so every time visitors come to this market, they will try new foods and see new sights. The market provides an entree or snack for any meal and is open until 10 p.m. every day. This attraction also has ongoing events every week so make sure to check out their website: Grand Central Market to always stay informed!

2.    Greystone Mansion and Park

Are you looking for a glimpse of Old Hollywood glamor?  Make sure to check out the Greystone Mansion and Park in Beverly Hills! This mansion is measured to be over 13 acres and was built in 1930 as a gift from Edward L. Doheny, an oil tycoon, to his son, Ned Doheny. The mansion has been used in many movies and TV shows throughout the years and was popular during the “golden age,” of Hollywood.

The mansion is available for tours that you have to schedule ahead of time and cost $20 per person. For more information about this sight, visit their website at: Greystone Mansion and Park!
